Early Beginnings

Woolsey's Food Center is a well-established supermarket located in the small town of Calhan, Colorado. The business was started in 1971, by Byrel Woolsey and his son, David Woolsy, in the 25-foot wide south half of the current building. Within a few years, the store's success encouraged the Woolsey's to acquire the 25-foot wide building to the north. The dividing wall was knocked out and the store became the size it is today.
After the Woolsey's decided to purse other interests it fell under the ownership of the current owners. The store is well-run and has several amazing employees.
